Strategy Songs: Metacognition Through Music!

I had a little TOO MUCH fun creating songs for reading strategies over the past few weeks!  Some of you MAY remember my "I Can Make an Inference" dance jam from a few weeks ago! ;)  Well, I decided to put a whole packet together with lyrics and songs... and I just uploaded it to my little store if you're interested.  :)  This zip-file contains a 20 page pdf with lyrics for 8 songs and 8 MP3s that correspond!  I can't WAIT to sing even more of these songs with my kiddos!  If you are interested in checking out the file, you can find it HERE!

  3. I can not sing at all...I would never sing in front of a group of my peers. However...that is all thrown out the window when I'm in the classroom. The kids don't care and respond so well to music. Great packet.

  7. I am really excited about this! Can you do the same thing for other comprehension strategies like finding the plot, cause and effect, fact and opinion, and other strategies! I would love to use this in my class.
