Books in the Spotlight
This display is for recent read alouds or mentor texts! Whenever I finish reading ANY text aloud, I can always count on students asking to reread it. So in an effort to make the books visible and available while stirring up interest in reading, they are prominently displayed where they can be easily accessed by the kiddos!

I found this idea on What the Teacher Wants! I just have an obsession with bright colors, so I went the neon route! They are so fun! Pointers are great for students who still need to track as they read, but I have found that they can also be a motivational tool for reluctant readers, and they can also help students who struggle with focusing their attention on reading instead of external stimuli.
Do you want to increase excitement about reading in your classroom? Both of these ideas are perfect for adding a little extra pizzazz to your classroom in meaningful and impactful ways. Happy Teaching!
