While you're poking around my shop trying to decide what you want to try to win from my shop, I thought I'd throw out some of my "difference makers" to share what has been working  in my classroom!  These are some of the products that have made the BIGGEST impact with my kiddos this year.

First of all, I hardly know how I operated before I started to use my Reading Response Menus. It's seriously one of my favorite resources ever.  This HUGE packet was created to address a variety of standards, higher-order thinking skills, and genres in an easily adaptable and predictable structure! What's more, with this set, you can assign a different menu every week for the entire school-year without running out or repeating the same menu twice! These reading response menus can be used as homework (like I do with my class), as morning work, as part of your independent reading centers, as part of your literature circle approach, or they can be integrated into your interactive journals by cutting and gluing them into your notebooks! They can be used with your main selections, literature circles, small groups, or independent reading. No matter what, they are a great tool for differentiation and providing students with GUIDED CHOICE as they interact with texts.  It's been working like a charm! :)  If you want to see more examples, you can check out an old blog post HERE!

I'm also LOVING my Just Glue It Interactive Notebook Prompts.  These multi-step, higher-order thinking prompts have been perfect for taking instruction a little deeper.   Essentially, the new tests through Smarter Balanced and PARCC are shifting to more multi-step directions and more application based questions than we have had on our OAA, and even though we won't be taking them this year, I really want to start preparing my students NOW.  Let's face it, multi-step directions are hard for kids.  They need practice!!! I am SO excited to implement the prompts I've created because they address multiple skills on each sheet, and they all have some kind of writing connection.  The best part?!  As the name suggests, you JUST GLUE IT!  Yep, you just glue it into an interactive notebook and write on the opposite side.  I did not create templates for the responses because I want my students to exercise their creativity and critical thinking skills as they interact with each prompt.

Another favorite is my Sticky Note Jot Spots! I love Sticky Notes.  More specifically, I LOVE Post-Its, because let's face it, the adhesive is worth the extra money.  :)  I love how versatile they are.  I love that you can attach them to books to organize mini-lessons.  I love that my kiddos can attach them to books as they read to make their thinking visible and permanent.  I love that they can help create wonderful testaments to our learning in the form of anchor charts.  I honestly don't know how I ever taught without them.  :) They have been perfect for interactive notebooking too!  :)  You can just glue them right in!  Super simple!

Another BIG  "difference maker" this year has been my Interactive Notebook Flap Books Pack!  I LOVE the simplicity and high utility format.
