Since have a school-wide Character Store, the kiddos receive money for good behavior. I utilize a banker hand out money on payday using this little cash register! The ones and fives are kept in different drawers for easy access... and I keep a little PAID stamp handy too. Once upon a time, I tried writing checks, and the stamp was perfect. I just, truthfully didn't have the time to keep up with writing checks every two weeks. I am the worst payroll clerk ever!
The bank teller works at a drive through window made out of a trifold board...complete with an OPEN sign. You would think this would get old week after week, but it does not. They always get excited about getting paid and getting to shop, but this always takes it to the very next level in a BIG way!
Even if you don't have your own classroom store or school-wide store, this is a fun way to simulate a real world concept during an economics unit! It definitely takes things up a notch!

That is SO adorable! I like that you have a student run this; I've tried running it myself, and I honestly couldn't keep up. Awesome management!

What a cute idea - my kids would LOVE this! We also have a school-wide store where students can spend their money that they earn for good behavior :)
