Woo hoo! I just hit 100 followers today, and I'm absolutely elated! I remember sitting down about a month ago and being excited that I had 10 followers. Ha! Why is it so exciting to know that someone else is reading what you write? That's something we should definitely remember when it comes to our own classrooms, eh? Sometimes, and audience is a HUGE motivator. I know that I didn't write nearly as much when I had a handful of followers as I do now. So, thanks for reading my ramblings and popping in every once in a while!
Any-who, I was inspired by LadyBug Teaching Files to create a bin for new students. My district is not overly transient or dynamic, so we don't have too many changes in our roster from start to finish. However, occasionally my name will get drawn in that new-student-lottery. I always try to keep extra books, planners, nametags, and basic supplies handy "just in case". I fell in love with the simple idea of filling a crate with the necessities so that if my name gets pulled, I am prepared to welcome newbies to the classroom! It just seems better than filing it all away in a cabinet with a bunch of other supplies that just might get in my way if I ever need to quickly access the materials. So, with that said, feel free to grab the sign I made for my new student bin. I created one to go with my classroom theme, and color scheme. If you prefer, you can also grab a different style at Ladybug Teaching Files!
Thanks, Amanda! Your sign is beautiful!! I may be tempted to switch next year for a change!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend :)
Thanks! You're too sweet! The sign wouldn't even exist without your creativity! :) Thanks for sharing the idea!
