Daily Fix-It's- FREEBIE!

Alas, I am out of storage space in Google Docs, and I am totally dreading weeding out files from that bad boy.  I had been frivolously saving all of the great ideas in the blog-o-sphere for almost a year, and now it has finally caught up with me.  I feel like I've been dumped! Ha!  In lieu of Google Docs, I've opted to add my version of the third grade Daily Fix-Its to my TpT store.  This will ensure that my TpT followers who may not follow my blog have access to the materials as well.  I will gradually add more as I create resources for each unit.  So far, I'm focused solely on Unit 1 since this will be my very first year with the curriculum, let alone a basal series.  :)  Of course, since they correspond with the program, they are free.  {Kudos to Kathleen from Growing Kinders for giving me the inspiration to re-do the daily fix-its in a student friendly format.  Isn't she fab?}  I plan on using mine during the Daily 5 as something to stick in my writing center.  I prefer more explicit writing instruction, so this will be a nice option for center rotations.  At least that's what I'm thinking preliminarily!  We will see.

I hope that this massive 50-pager will be useful to any followers who may happen to teach third grade with this curriculum!  Actually, I really think this file could benefit ANY students who need more practice with sight words, handwriting, conventions, or grammar.  {Note: Each page has two errors that need to be edited.}  I really don't think it's limited to Reading Street users, it's just really correlated with that program.  So, feel free to check it out to see if it will be useful in your classroom to use with your third grade kiddos or use them to challenge your gifted babies!  It's free, so there's no worries, right?

There are great resources out there on the web for Reading Street, but not if you don't have Microsoft Word on your computer, and I don't.  So, guess who will be reinventing the wheel this year?!  This girl!   If I can make life easier for even one person, than I will be satisfied.  To snag a copy of this file, click HERE! If you feel so inclined, I would LOVE to have some feedback in my store!  Thanks!

  4. I went ahead and bought extra storage at Google . I figure $20 a year for 80 GB is so worth not having to worry about running out. (They have 20 GB for $5 which is good too)

  5. We were between Reading Street and Treasures and opted for the latter. I like Treasures, but would have been thrilled to see what you had for Reading Street.

  11. Definitely check out Waltke's Web. TRY downloading .doc files and then uploading them to Google Docs- a lot of times that will work and it won't take much editing!

  15. "You're" is supposed to say "you're". These are "Daily Fix-Its". The kids are supposed to find that mistake and then correct it to "your". These are straight out of my curriculum... just prettied up. There's actually two intentional errors on each page of the file. That's the point! :)

  17. I would love to get the copy of Daily Fix-It's, but when I click on the spot that says "click here" it takes me to TPT with a download for Fluency Folders. I'd love to see the Fix It's. If I need to do something different, then please let me know! Thanks!

  19. Do you still have this Daily Fix It freebie?? My SmartBoard has not been set up, and I think this would be a great way for my kids to still get the Daily Fix It transparencies!
